In the Ramage Suite, this old trunk is a perfect example of the type made in the 1910s and 1920s when the nation was in the midst of vast industrial growth. Newly established railroads were providing arteries for trade between the 38 states, and people were traveling like never before.

You'll find beautiful examples of fine craftsmanship and woodwork throughout the entire home.

GUEST ROOMS

The Maid's Quarters: A room decorated in soft greens and cream colors. It features a queen sized brass bed and private shower bath. You will be able to feel cozy and comfortable watch TV and using the High Speed Wireless Internet access. Week-day rate: $79 Week-end rate: $89 plus tax

The Stauer Room is named after the original owner of the house, Peter Stauer a local lumber baron. He had this house custom build in 1882. It's hand painted wood grain charm, decorated in a masculine blue, enhances the mood. The room features a double (standard sized) bed with an assigned private bathroom and High Speed Wireless Internet Access, as well as a TV. Week-day rate: $59 Week-end rate: $69 plus tax

The Ramage Suite has two rooms and it is named after the second owners of the house, Barbara and Joseph Ramage. They lived in the house in the early 1900s and owned the house for 90 some years. The bedroom is decorated in soft pastels of purple and maroon with flowers and stripes. It features a queen sized bed with an attached sitting room that includes a queen sofa-bed, along with an assigned private bathroom, TV and High Speed Wireless Internet Access. Week-day Rate: $89 Week-end Rate: $99 plus tax

The Captain's Room is a rather large room with two double sized bed and a private bath with shower. It is decorated in antique green with cream colored accents. Sitting at the end of each bed are old trunks of days gone by -- they were found in the house when the innkeepers purchased it. The room features two antique dressers, private shower bathroom, TV and High Speed Wireless Internet Access. Week-day Rate: $79 Week-end Rate: $89 plus tax
